it's rainy season! and i was about going home after working pretty hard at work and it was raining!! because of having a blue raincoat, i was sure it would be okay going home although the rain was so hard and there was no signal to stop pouring in a near time so i hit it.
i was going to the road where new type of apartment is being built, there's a nice hotel with hanging rocks in front of the lobby (they just put it last month, i reckon, and it is pretty art-ish-ic), there are line up international and famous restaurants and people love going in and out from there especially on Saturday night, everyone loves hanging out there. and this one of many roads to be the entrance to and exit out of Kemang.
it was pretty shocking when i saw the water came from the ditch and closed gutter channel at the both sides of the road. but i was keep going because it quite a jam to go out of it. the current from the water was actually turned me down, in case it would take my motorcycle down and broke and i had to pull it to the surface land :)
the water ( i mean) the brown-ish water dipped my motorcycle almost half of it and it scaried me where i had seen two or three other rider drag their motorcycle from the flooded road. but i kept being steady to see what would happen to me and kept praying to God to pull it through. and Thank God, i did it. Yeah!
it would be the second time to experience it actually, the first one would be with my dad, he was riding it and i was making video of it with my old cellphone of mine and it was two of us, so i felt save and this time i was alone and i couldn't imagine if i had to pull it through where every people stayed on the surface watching and waiting the flood drained. HAH, that would take too long, buddies!
so, it was realy bad knowing it happens to the road which is so potential for everyone to go in and out easily and actually it seems like it's the main road to everywhere.

Rest in Peace, Gus Dur!
He was the 4th President of Indonesia and one of the powerful man here in this crowded country. In 2001, he had to be removed from his power and replaced by his vice-president, Megawati who was the first ever woman who became the president.
His ever best religious views would like he said ..
"All religions insist on peace. From this we might think that the religious struggle for peace is simple ... but it is not. The deep problem is that people use religion wrongly in pursuit of victory and triumph. This sad fact then leads to conflict with people who have different beliefs"
He will be memorized by the people of Indonesia for his knowledge and now the people will support him to be our one of the national hero.

it's been long time not to write
i dunno what i have to say but hey, it's been very busy days all the way through to the new years.
Indonesia is still the same, traffic jam all the way to the place where i was intended to celebrate my new year celebration. and we had a problem with the vehicle that we were using, ran out the gas!!! haha
so, instead having new year eve in a relax way, we hunted down the gas station around the kelapa gading! :( it was fun though..
we found one which was still operated 24 hrs far away from the target place. wishes have been asked and i was with the pone that i love, that would be perfect :)

FREE CAR DAY FOREVER!

Kota Tua (Old Kota, in English) is on the center of our goverment's attention. As for me, it is a very influential historic place which has many stories in it.
Government sets a new rule which is free car day. This program is giving, at least, an effort from government to save this interesting place. The stories are all about the places in Jakarta and the culture which is formed. The government sets this is not because of reducing traffic jam but they mostly concern about the shake that car may have given because the buildings are very vulnerable and fragile especially the rooftiles.
The government, actually, should have done this few back years ago. I was very disappointed about the lack of attention of them about the building. If you ever been here before, you might see the scratch or paint of the idle and unresponsible hands of its visitors. Too bad! And yet many people visit the place for the history, to relax or to take a really good photograph.
What i have heard from the radio that the rule is going to be valid forEVER! I hope this is would be brought very good side for the place, an interesting for many people to visit!

Come and See yourself!!

Kartini Day

Today is Kartini's Day. Kartini is powerful figure here in Indonesia. She is a woman who had put all effort to encourage women of Indonesia to sit and stand as tall as men. She was influential women in her era and still is today.
Today, as i rode home, i saw a student of elementary school was wearing traditional clothes. It is kind of tradition especially on her day. I just remember when i was at elementary school too.

Modern women here in Indonesia is still trying to put their energies as same as men. Women today is getting better and many of them who i already knew or i saw, is a great women in their career, family and both of those options.
As for me, Kartini has given me a lesson to respect and never underestiman a woman's power.
I met my girlfriends and said, 'HAPPY KARTINI DAY! I hope you are going to be better woman' and so for women across this BEAUTY-ful island.
=)
